WTTC Borrego Springs 2025

Team Wolfbaby was back in Borrego Springs for the annual world ultra timetrial championships. This time we decided to do the 12 hour version so we could both enjoy the event and not be to fried to enjoy riding around the area on the other days of our stay. We ended up world champions! (Fine print is we were uncontested in our division). All the same we had a blast and a more than respectable showing, covering 222 miles in the 12 hours with an average pace of 18.6mph.

The boys are back in town

We started at 5am in the morning after the 24 hour riders had already been on the course for 12 hours and had our first couple hours in darkness before sunrise. We swapped off each lap to allow time to cool down as the temperature rose significantly as the day went on. Our paces (and degredation as the heat rose) were very closely matched and we stayed consistent through out the race with no real issues.

World champions!

We hung around for a couple of days riding with friends after the race and enjoyed the desert roads and heat at a more civilized pace. A great way to end the year.
